A protected monument, located on the shore of Bohinj Lake
A picturesque Church of St. John the Baptist in Ribčev Laz stands by Lake Bohinj and together with the stone bridge, that crosses the Bohinjka River, it is considered as one of the main Bohinj attractions. It was built before the year 1300 and is as an important cultural and historic building – a protected monument. It is also known for its medieval frescoes.
